Why Mediation?
The Advantages of Mediation
- It provides a secure environment for expressing the opinions and needs of both sides (including the needs of children), understanding each other, and searching for a solution.
- Parents work together to find a solution, which brings them closer (unlike a lawsuit). This enables them to start a cooperative parental relationship for the future.
- Mediation is faster and less financially demanding than a court case.
- With the help of the mediators, parents have control over the process and actively participate in shaping their future and the future of their children.
How Can Mediation Help Parents?
- It provides family members with a safe space to resolve their conflicts independently and find a mutually suitable solution.
- It helps to resolve relationship or parental conflicts constructively.
- It serves as a prevention against family breakdown.
- If a parental relationship breaks down, it acts as a tool to ensure good parenting.
Standard mediation meeting lasts for three hours. There is a possibility of ordering a first „trial “ one hour session to get to know our mediators and the mediation process. Clients choose the topics they would like to address during the meeting. Usually, more than one mediation meeting is needed for the parents to come up with an agreement.
